Meet Dr. Faw

Kenneth D Faw, M.D., has over 30 years experience in the treatment of chronic sinusitis including minimally invasive endoscopic sinus surgery and image guided sinus surgery. He was one of the first surgeons in the Puget Sound area to utilize image guided technology to improve safety and enhance outcomes for sinus patients. More recently he pioneered the use of catheter based sinus procedures (Balloon Sinuplasty) in this area with further increases in patient safety and comfort. He also has a special interest in Pediatric Ear Nose and Throat problems and evaluation of voice disorders including Video Stroboscopy. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and is a Member of the American Rhinologic Society and American Academy of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery.

Dr. Faw received his undergraduate degree in biology from Seattle Pacific University and his formal medical training at the University of Washington. He then completed a year of general surgery training (internship) at Swedish Hospital in Seattle followed by four years of specialty residency training in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at Washington University in St Louis. After residency, Dr. Faw served as the Chief of Pediatric ENT at St Louis Children’s Hospital. Dr. Faw has received additional training from Dr. David W. Kennedy, who introduced and popularized endoscopic sinus surgery in the US. Dr Faw has a strong commitment to continuing education and development. He routinely attends several International meetings every year to keep appraised of recent developments and develop new skills. Recent courses attended include University of Pennsylvania, Mayo Clinic and Stanford University.

Dr Faw began private practice in 1982 and also serves as a clinical faculty member with the University of Washington School of Medicine. Since 2000 Dr. Faw has increasingly focused his clinical practice on caring for patients with nasal and sinus conditions. He offers his extensive experience and training to treat nasal and sinus problems for adult and pediatric patients in our community.
